He spent 28 years on the Georgia Tech research faculty and worked for Harris Corp. and Scientific Atlanta. He retired in 2005 as Associate Director of the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) for this now one-billion-dollar enterprise and worked there as a retiree for another 10 years. He began his career as an RF measurement technician in NASA’s Apollo Program in 1965. During the Vietnam War, he analyzed Russian surface-to-air missile systems at GTRI and contributed to the development of electronic countermeasures to protect American pilots. With Harris Corp. in Melbourne, Florida, he performed antenna design and managed classified spaceborne communications programs. He directed Scientific Atlanta’s SATCOM Antenna Division for five years. He has travelled abroad extensively including Russia and China. In 1999 and 2001, China sponsored his lecture tour to their universities and defense companies, where he developed a keen interest in Chinese culture and history.
Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he lived most of his life in Georgia, and now resides with his wife Joanne, in Birmingham, Alabama. They have a blended family of five children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He holds one patent for a mortar-locating radar antenna and has authored over 50 technical reports and articles, numerous local history articles, and two books on family and local history. His books have received three awards. This fictional novel presents a story that he hopes never happens.

Charley Boswell
Charley Boswell lost his eyesight helping a wounded soldier escape from a burning tank in a World War II battle. Home from the war, suffering the pain of futile operations, his last hopes destroyed, he faced up to the responsibility of supporting his wife and small daughter. In younger days, he’d played football for Alabama, those great Crimson Tide teams; his home town remembered him and he found himself representing a sporting goods store—then selling insurance—none of it satisfied him. He took up golf, learned that he wasn’t ‘blind’, but merely ‘saw’ in a different way. He became National Blind Champion in golf 15 times. Now I See is his story, an inspirational narrative whose appeal is in its poignant authenticity…we’re out there swinging with Charley.

Where the Humor Meets the Road had its origins some 30,000 feet above the ground, and in airports across the country in the mid-1970’s. Road trips across the highways, byways, and backroads of the country seemed the logical alternative to soaring through the clouds. Traveling by water was just too complicated a way to reach the nooks and crannies of a country that span over two thousand miles from coast to the coast and more than a thousand miles from Green Bay…

The Book Monster
The Book Monster is a picture book about a girl and her voracious appetite for books.
Sybil isn’t in denial. Her Book Monster transformations are hardly problematic. The boy receiving a new library card hasn’t disrupted her visit at all. She loves lines. She hasn’t waited months for the book he’s unshelved. Eating the boy was a perfectly reasonable response. But, her stomach aches. Is it the boy? Guilt? Both? She could spit him out and relinquish the book, but… what if she doesn’t want to?

Different Vibrations
Different Vibrations is a collection of poetry written from the perspective of different kinds of people. I met these people and learned these stories while homeless and/or working as a taxi driver, an occupation like that of bartender, that assumes the roll of psychiatrist and confidant for his/her patrons. Individually poems could be categorized as comedic, adventurous, religious, etc. so it was not until I read them all together that I realized I was writing a book of love poetry. Each poem collected here reflects some form of love (eros, storge, philia, agape), and written in the voice of some…
