Kathleen Finerty
Kathleen Finerty was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She earned her degree in Nursing at Jefferson State Community College and furthered her education at Bevill State Community College and then on to the University of Alabama. She also attended Bessemer State Technical College where she was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician, Intermediate level. She worked with her local Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT.
She is a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and a friend.
She has been writing poetry for several years and has been compelled to publish her works by multiple family members and close friends. At this time, she has over 15 poems published through The International Society of Poets, some as single works, some as anthologies with other authors. She received a lead crystal trophy, a medallion, and several awards from competitions with the International Society of Poets.
She attributes her inspiration to 40 years of work in the medical field, her family members, and friends. She will continue to write as long as her inspiration continues

Daisy Williams Chandler, Ph.D. – NBCT attended school in the Birmingham City School System. She graduated from Alabama State University (ASU) and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Her love of literacy and career in education began in the Shelby County School System as a fourth-grade teacher. She continued her educational career in the Birmingham City School System and retired after serving for forty-one years as a proud and dedicated educator.
Dr. Chandler treasures spending time with her family and friends. She is married to Donald Chandler. They are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Dr. Brittany Sanders, and Ms. Candace Chandler-Oritz, Ed.S. Dr. Chandler enjoys walking, traveling, playing checkers, watching movies, and having grand conversations with her eight-year-old granddaughter, Chandler.

Cynthia Crenshaw
Cynthia Crenshaw is a wife, mother, minister and teacher consultant who became National Board Certified in Literacy in 2007. Mrs. Crenshaw served as a Candidate Support Provider assisting other teachers in becoming National Board Certified. She served as an Instructional Coach of teachers in grades K-5. Her role as a coach led her to writing curriculum and being part of a grant writing team. Mrs. Crenshaw has presented at local, state and national conferences which includes National Council of Teachers of English, National Writing Project and National Board Certified Teachers Conference.
As a fellow with the Red Mountain Writing Project Cynthia served as Co-Director of Professional Development where she worked with others to secure contracts at various schools. These contracts included providing literacy professional development throughout the school year and hosting summer writing camps.
As a minister she has written children’s church and Sunday School curriculum. She has been invited to minister at Women’s Conferences. Mrs. Crenshaw counts it a pleasure to listen and minister to individuals. She enjoys searching the scriptures and allowing the eyes of her understanding to be enlightened.
