Cameron Carr
Cameron Carr started his career with Kentucky Fried Chicken. The intended summer job grew into a passion for the industry. Leaving college his 1st year, all energies were focused on the food service industry. A number of promotional relocations placed the family in Birmingham. 1975 was the year O’Carrs Restaurant was conceived. Cameron and his wife June owned and operated the restaurant for 48 years. Starting as an ice cream parlor it evolved into it’s current form. Selling the restaurant to Kenneth Rhodes ( an employee) allowed the bigger than life dream to continue. The divine blessings, loyal customers and incredible staff saw us through the years.

What can I say about O’Carrs? Well I can say it has changed my life, not just by the chicken salad but the way I see the Service Industry in general. Cameron and June created an environment that established so many memories and traditions to families for almost five decades! I’m forever grateful to be the one to carry on those same qualities, values and traditions for anyone who has ever experienced the “home” they created.
