When there are days that it appears it is about to rain, you may ignore the cloudy skies or the sound of thunder. However, as you keep walking and the first rain drop hits your body, whether it be on your cheek, shoulder, or wherever, you pick up your pace. Reflections From My Heart
Karen Holman
I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL. I graduated from the University of Alabama. Retired from the United States Probation Office after almost 25 years of service. I love to work in my flower garden, study the word of God, go hiking with my husband, spend time with my family and play with my two dogs. My Daddy gave me a hardback book to write my poems in when I was a little girl. He built me a walnut desk and chair (which I still have) on our carport when I was growing up. This is where I would sit and write. He helped me with my homework and school projects. We won several awards for my projects. I have always been a Daddy’s girl. I am so proud of him. He has guided me and helped me all my life and I am so grateful. I still refer to him as my hero.
