A Glimpse at My Life and Works Through Poetry and Prose

$25.00

This document represents the evolution of my life from those first days in Birmingham, Alabama, to the journey to North Dakota, Minnesota, Syracuse, Princess Anne Maryland, Pittsburgh, and finally back to Birmingham.  My story is evidence of your story’s value, in telling the whole story of our amazing survival in this country.  Our collective stories answer the questions raised by Vincent Harding when he asked, “How [amid] such death and suffering could we find so much strength to love, so much determination to live, fight on, and be free?  In permanent and grueling exile, how could a people dance and create songs and art, fashion institutions of hope, bear so many children of beauty?”  I encourage you to aid this process of providing answers, by letting the world in on your story.
