Meant to Be

One profound lesson I have learned, that would have also prevented many of my past mistakes, is to listen to God’s still voice. When there are days that it appears it is about to rain, you may ignore the cloudy skies or the sound of thunder. However, as you keep walking and the first rain drop hits your body, whether it be on your cheek, shoulder, or wherever, you pick up your pace. As more rain drops begin to fall, you walk faster and attempt to find an umbrella or some form of cover. The winds begin to pick up, and suddenly, it is pouring with increased sounds of thunder. Before you know it, you are desperate for help. You are in the middle of a storm. This is exactly how God speaks to us. Never ignore the first rain drop, red flag, or sense of urgency that you may experience in any situation. If you are obedient to the first indication of the Lord’s voice or warning, you could prevent yourself from being vulnerable to so many unnecessary storms in life.
