The book was born out of Facebook posts that began in 2015 after the author felt divinely guided to bring light and encouragement to others. At the time, Janet was visiting nursing homes on opposite sides of her hometown, where her husband and mother were living out their last days. No matter how challenging life became, she realized there were always people worse off than her.

In the book’s introduction, she recalls the feeling of being too flawed to offer any kind of advice to others. But faith won out, and miracles happened as she posted daily.

“Being able to provide comfort to the widowed and grieving, or just encourage others, has been the honor of my life,” Janet says. Out of thousands of reflections, she has chosen 100 for this first volume. She continues to post “heart thoughts” every morning on her Facebook page, Planet Janet Media & Marketing.
